Playing with Place
The Lighthouse & Kosovo Architecture Festival
April – June 2017
‘Playing with Place’, an exhibition by Pidgin Perfect commissioned by The Lighthouse – Scotland’s Centre for Architecture & Design – for their 2017 programme centred around a new multi-screen moving image work and publication.
The exhibition reflected on the work of Pidgin Perfect, weaving together the personal stories and experiences of people who have contributed to our projects both formally and informally and invited audiences to question and explore what brings people together; what helps us feel most at home; and what difference do community and culture make?
The exhibition was a platform for Pidgin Perfect to further our understanding of, and hopes for, places that are being re-imagined and re-shaped across the UK and further afield.
In the summer of 2017, the exhibition travelled to the National Museum of Kosovo in Pristina as part of the inaugural Kosovo Architecture Festival programme.
