London Festival of Architecture and Vauxhall One
Pidgin Perfect collaborated with designer Lizzie Abernethy and The Garret Studio to bring a special one off event to Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens for the 2017 edition of the London Festival of Architecture.
As part of the opening weekend of the festival, the Memory Monsters roamed the gardens gathering memories, stories and histories of the changing landscape of Vauxhall to support and inform the development of a neighbourhood action plan by Vauxhall One.
Vauxhall One is the Business Improvement District (BID) for Vauxhall. Owned, funded and lead by a wide range of local businesses who are working together to make the community a safer, cleaner and greener, cultural destination.
The design of the Memory Monsters illustrated the challenges fundamental to the changing face of London and took on the guise of familiar local landmarks; inhabiting a key civic space in the community and bringing an out of the ordinary spectacle to Vauxhall.
