About:
Pidgin Perfect and Icecream Architecture collaboratively hosted 'Wheelers & Dealers Tea Party' as part of the programme for the Merchant City Festival 2011.

Taking over and transforming Ingram Street Car Park into a series of social green spaces we brought together children, friends, families, local residents, tourists, festival goers and many other friendly faces to take part in a 'Creative Container' workshop, give their views on the future development of the Merchant City and share some Lemonade.

We created a relaxing oasis within the Merchant City during the high-energy of the festival by turfing the car park, providing a space to read the Sunday papers and planting the space along with live music from some West End buskers.

The 'Creative Container' workshop invited children to take a moment to decorate a plant pot, pot a plant, take it home and encourage it to grow. Providing a little legacy for the tea party whilst teaching them new skills and encouraging them to get messy and have fun!
